I'm BACK!!!!
It's been a WHILE, couponing friends! My life at work was beyond hectic this spring. I am pleased to announce, though, that I'm on summer vacation! Sweet! This means I'll be able to help you find some good frugal finds... Yay!
That's the short version and I'm sticking to it! Now, if you're wondering "What was she thinking while she's been away?!?" read on...
While I've been on my blogging hiatus, I've been thinking a lot about the financial value of couponing versus the health implications associated with said couponing. Here's the bottom line: Have you noticed that MANY of the coupons out there are for processed and/or JUNK foods? Ugh. Who really wants to feed their family that??? Not me. (Not that I'm always serving the healthiest of meals, but we can all aspire to be healthy, right?)
So I've made a decision that I hope you're ok with... With occasional exceptions (because we all need a splurge of junk every now and again), I will no longer be blogging *all* of the coupon deals. Rather, I'll be blogging just the fresher finds that you can be on the lookout for! The best news??? Wal-Mart has recently changed their price matching policy to state that you no longer have to have the actual ad with you to get the deal!!!! Yippee! So, if you don't get the same ad in your mailbox that I get in mine but you live in Fort Worth, you *should* still be able to get the same DIRT CHEAP produce deals that I'm sometimes able to find! Yes!!!! If you'd like to check out their new policy, look here.
Don't worry! I'll still be looking for good deals on toilet paper & toothpaste like everyone else, and I'll let you in on those as I find them. Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be changing the food deals that I post in hopes of helping you find the freshest (and hopefully healthiest!) deals around.
If you have thoughts about my new blogging approach, I'd love to hear them! Comment away! :)
